For most of the 20th Century, Baldwin was considered one of the best American pianos made. This classic Baldwin, at 5’8” long, is small enough to fit in most living rooms and still yield a rich, satisfying tone. The action is wonderfully responsive. We last sold this piano in 2017 to a customer who obviously didn’t use it much, or heavily, and took extremely good care of it (the video demo above includes Paul’s original demo from 2017, as well as Rick’s new demo from 2019). Since Baldwin moved its manufacturing operation to China in the late 2000s, one can no longer buy a new Baldwin anything quite like this. Since we seldom have used American-made Baldwin grands for sale, and many people request them, we recommend not thinking too long about whether to buy this piano. We don’t expect it to stay in our inventory long.
