Founded in 1927 by Koichi Kawai in Hamamatsu, Japan, Kawai has held its own and flourished in the same city as its larger and more famous competitor, Yamaha. This piano is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship that has kept Kawai competitive and successful for 92 years…and counting. The polished ebony cabinet of this piano remains in very clean condition. Internally, this look like a new piano, with 100% of its original action parts and the tuning stability of a new piano.
