For the person who wants the most piano for the least money, this piano is tough to beat. This wonderful example of 1980s Kawai workmanship, sporting a rarely seen polished walnut finish, is all original and in phenomenally good condition, ready to serve its new owner for decades to come. The Kawai KG series helped Kawai earn the international reputation for excellence they still enjoy today. Known for having a rich, smooth tone and very responsive keyboard, the Kawai KG series is ranked among the best grand piano values in the world by Larry Fine, Registered Piano Technician and author of The Piano Book and its biannual supplement, the Piano Buyer. Of course, if you feel irresistibly compelled to have a new piano, unfortunately, Kawai does not currently offer their modern equivalent model to this piano in any finish other than ebony. That model, the GX-3, is currently priced at $53,495. Even with a generous discount, you would end up paying 3-4 times the price of this piano to get a new Kawai GX-3 WITHOUT the stunning polished walnut finish this piano has to offer. Why would you do that? Why would anyone? We don’t know either!
