This piano does not have a flawless finish, mostly due to some mild sun fading and minor edgewear. However, we really do not want to refinish this piano as our refinishing shop is already busting at the seams with Pre-WWII Steinways that must be refinished and fully rebuilt before they are salable. That’s not the case with this piano. Besides the less than perfect finish, this piano is in very fine condition and does not need rebuilding. Therefore, it is in our best interest (and YOURS!) for us to offer this piano at a lower price than we would normally charge for this model and finish rather than refinish it. By the way, in case you don’t know, a new walnut Steinway M sells for the hair-raising price of $89,400.00 with 5-year warranty, half the length of our standard 10-year warranty on all parts and labor. So, if price, performance and warranty matter more to you than cosmetic perfection, then step right up and announce, “I’ll take it! When can you deliver?
