Petrof acquired control of Weinbach pianos in 1985. They were manufactured by Petrof in the Czech Republic using all Renner action parts like their more expensive name brand. Weinbach pianos offered most of the internal refinements of Petrof but at a lower price. Petrof pianos have a refined, distinctively European sound, and are among the most affordable premium European pianos one can buy. The bass of this piano is surprisingly rich and deep for its size. We are also including the original factory adjustable bench with matching legs and finish. The Weinbach line no longer exists, but if you were to buy the same size new Petrof P118 studio upright today with a mahogany finish like this piano, the new MSRP would be an astonishing $37,144 (not a misprint!). Even with an outlandishly generous discount from a new Petrof dealer, you would still end up paying many times the price of this piano for one new Petrof studio upright. Therefore, don’t expect this piano to remain in our inventory for very long, especially for the price we’re asking.
