9′ concert grand
1 in stock
One of the finest concert grand models on the market today, the Yamaha CFIII has been chosen by some of the world’s preeminent classical pianists for their concerts and recordings within the past fifty years, including Sviatoslav Richter, Glenn Gould, Andre Watts, Freddy Kempf, and Michael Tilson-Thomas. Occasionally a piano comes into our possession that stands head and shoulders above the other used pianos in our shop, and this piano is just such an instrument. The last time this piano passed through our shop 10 years ago, we replaced all the wires, including G&C Bass strings from Canada, widely considered by piano rebuilders as the best piano bass strings available. Besides that, this amazing instrument is all original. Yamaha builds their concert grands in a separate factory from their other pianos. There is no assembly line in this plant; all manufacturing is done by traditional techniques, such as in a large rebuilding shop. The MSRP of a new Yamaha concert grand today is a jaw-dropping $194,299. Even if you were lucky enough to get a generous discount from a new Yamaha dealer, you would still end up spending at least double the price we’re asking for this piano, and yet you would still have the same 10-year warranty coverage we offer with this and every used piano we sell, regardless of age or brand.
