The Yamaha U2 is not just a scale model of the bigger U3 or smaller U1 model but was made with a unique scale design to produce a consistently dark, mellow, and deep sound, especially in the bass and tenor sections. The touch of the U2 models is often slightly firmer than the stereotypical Yamaha piano, which facilitates playing softly with control, but not so firm as to make quick passagework laborious. One cannot go buy a new Yamaha U2 in the USA, which is a shame. Fortunately for you, we have them used in our shop regularly, and they sell as fast as we can get them. This one is all original and in excellent condition inside and out, with decades of useful life ahead of it. What’s not to like?
