The Yamaha U2 is not just a scale model of the bigger U3 or smaller U1 model but was made with its own unique scale design to produce a consistently dark, mellow, and deep sound, especially in the bass and tenor sections. The touch is often slightly firmer than that average Yamaha upright to facilitate playing softly with control, but not so firm as to make quick passagework laborious. One cannot go buy a new Yamaha U2 in the USA, which is a shame. Fortunately for you, we have them used in our shop on a regular basis, and they sell as fast as we can get them. This one is all original and in excellent condition inside and out (click picture slideshow above) with decades of useful life ahead of it. Naturally, it carries our 10-year warranty on all parts and labor and lifetime upgrade guarantee, like every piano we sell. What’s not to like?
