This Yamaha model is a high-performance version of the best-selling U1 model and comes across like a U1 with a more colorful, transparent tone, especially full-throated bass, a wonderfully weighted and responsive keyboard, and a vented front panel for more vivid sound. It is also one of Yamaha’s famous “X” models with a radial back post design (see picture slideshow above). Ideal for the advanced pianist or student.
