The following letter was written by a local piano teacher and emailed to all 82 of her piano students. She shared it with us, and we are sharing it with you. She is among the most loyal of the many piano teachers in the area who send their students to us.
Hi everyone,
This message is for anyone thinking of buying an acoustic piano in the near future. Keyboards and digital pianos are good and have many nice features, but a real piano is wonderful for students to practice on, and it gives them more motivation to play.
If you are interested in getting a regular piano, I recommend Rick Jones Pianos in Maryland. He is the largest retailer of used pianos on the east coast. Go to rickjonespianos.com to see their inventory. It’s well worth the trip to their showroom if you want to see the pianos in person. It’s 36 miles from here, about a 50 minute drive. I have known Rick Jones for more than two decades, since I bought a piano from him in 1999. Everything he sells has a life time guarantee of 100% toward a trade in for something bigger and better later on. In 2020, I decided to upgrade my piano for teaching lessons and after 21 years, he still honored the 100% trade in policy! 10 years parts and labor included if anything goes wrong. He truly is the best when it comes to getting a used piano. I especially like the free t-shirts he gives out when you buy a piano from him. Check him out! You’ll be glad you did.
See you soon!
Becky
